ABOUT US

The Panchayati Akhara Nirmal was established in 1862 AD by kings and Maharajas for the propagation of Gurumat. A book titled ‘Shri Nirmal Panth Prakash’ written by Kothari Sant Jaswinder Singh Shastri gives complete knowledge about the origin of the Nirmal sect, knowledge, rules and attire, propagation, establishment of Nirmal Panchayati Akhara, rules and regulations of the Akhara and the life of the former Srimahant Sahiban of the Akhara, etc. The Akhara is the highest representative institution of the Nirmal Panth and is located on the holy banks of the Bhagwati Bhagirathi Maa Ganga in Haridwar Kankhal. It has constructive religious and social objectives, preserves Sanskrit and culture, and plays an important role in the promotion of glorious historical and spiritual traditions, the coordination of Guruvaani and the Vedic scriptures.
